How to Draw manga

This year I’m going to study how to draw manga, I know how to a simple lines (but not good enough). So, this year I will learn the fundamental concept. From the smallest detail to much more complicated style. From simple animation like, pokemon and detective Conan to a much more elaborate details as trinity blood and gensou maden saiyuki; from simple machine like voltes V to a more complicated as gundam suits; from simple monster character such as akazukin cha cha to a precise figures like Yu Yu hakusho.

And also want to study how to draw bishounen (Weisz Kruez, ouran high and fruits basket, etc.) and bishojo chatacters (Bamboo blade, Sailor moon, card captor sakura, etc.) to fully understand how to make a good, if not better, characters on my own.

But more than that, I want to make my own story, which is really more difficult than just choosing a character design. Storyline is basically part of drawing a manga, which otaku failed to consider.

One good example, I presume, is Naruto since the character design is really based, not only in their ability or power but, on the real facts. Such as Kankuro design, his feature is based on facts. He was name after a famous puppeteer. And his appearance is the same as a kabuki (japanese entertainer). That is why, Naruto gained a lot of appreciation among otaku.

That is why also – story affects the character design – good story always accompanied with good characters, Magic Knight Rayearth, Vision of Escaflowne, and Full Metal Alchemist and many others per se.
