Dragon Ball Evolution

Dragon Ball as an anime is one of my favorite. I’ve seen how Goku learn and survive the quest on finding the dragon balls. And I have seen his character develop from and a small boy trying to protect his grandpa’s memento to a highly skilled martial artist and become the most powerful person in the human world. Furthermore, even in his death he still manages to become a protector of humankind.

This movie, Dragon ball Evolution, was supposedly the most anticipated movie among anime fans but unfortunately it was overly summed up that it makes the story irrelevant from what we have seen in the anime. Nevertheless title suggests it as ‘dragon ball evolution’, though so probably that’s their intention. And for me it wasn’t totally strange that their settings and the story has been change. That’s the rule of the movies; make a different twist out of the original. Even in the movie that based from books, comics or series, movies are different. And it should be unique to create an additional perspective.

However, this movie lacks of entertainment. Basically the elements of surprise weren’t good enough to make the viewers inspired and/or enjoy. That’s way movie goers get disappointed on what they have seen in the film. Some choreography also has lousy performance and doesn’t make sense. It’s only just a display of stunts.

Although, for me it was fair enough. But if they were going to make another movie, which I bet they already planned. I hope next time everything will change into a better performance.
